Pikes Peak Historical Street Railway Foundation

This is unique group trying to bring trolleys to the streets of Colorado Springs and Colorado City. They are restoring several cars for service and operate a 600 foot demonstration track for visitors. The cars are being slowly restored at an old Rock Island roundhouse built in the late 1800's.

The photos below are a mere sampling of the cars in their collection. All photos were taken during a brief visit to the site on 7/11/01. Please enjoy!

This is one of two original CS cars. It was acquired through a real estate transaction.	This is the other CS car. It is currently undergoing restoration.
Former Fort Collins Birney undergoing a massive rebuild.	A Brussels car, that had ran in Florida prior to arriving in Colorado. It is nearly operational.
A SEPTA PCC on CTA trucks. The CTA trucks were originally under Chicago streetcars, then converted for "L" service, now back to streetcars.	Same PCC. It is painted in the original paint scheme for the Colorado Springs trolley system.
LA Railways narrow gauge PCC. It will receive standard gauge trucks.
