Tokyo Yurikamome

This is a automated guideway system linking Shimbashi in Tokyo to the new development on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay. It's most interesting section is when if goes over the Rainbow Bridge. It makes a loop to gain elevation to cross the bridge on the Tokyo side. Yurikamome translates into Seagull. The line is also called Tokyo Waterfront New Rapid. It is a neat system to ride.

Here the train makes a 270 degree helix turn to gain altitude to go over the Rainbow Bridge, note that autos make the same helix. (5/1/96)	Ariake station is a 3 track 2 platform station. It was a terminal at one time (2/5/10)
