The newest subway line in Tokyo. It was known as Line #13 during construction. It uses was was called the Yurakucho New Line north of Ikebukuro then new subway tunnels south to Shibuya. The line includes both local and express service with a passing track in Higashi-Shinjuku. The only other Tokyo subway line that had express service is the Tozai line. Eventually this line will be extended south to connect with the Tokyu Toyoko line to Yokohama. This is the last planned subway line in Tokyo at the present time. Click on any image to enlarge.
