The Ginza line is one of my favorite lines in Tokyo. It is also Japan's first subway line opening in 1927 between Ueno and Asakusa. It is built to North American standards with 3rd rail. It touches many of the tourism centers in Tokyo including its namesake Ginza. Not sure why the route is designated route # 3 since it was the first, but it is. Click on any image to enlarge.
