Caribbean Transit

Most people think of sunshine, beaches, rum and vacations when they think of the Caribbean, not public transit. In reality, there is not much public transit in the Caribbean except busses and LOTS of taxis. However, there are two transit operations of note..

San Juan Puerto Rico: The line opened in December 2004, the first to open in the Caribbean (Santa Domingo the the second).

Cuba: Has the world famous (at least for traction fans) Hershey Interurban.

I have not been to Cuba (but really want to some day), but I have ben to Tren Urbano in San Juan twice.
