Great Lakes States Transit
St Louis, Missouri

St. Louis

St. Louis has a rapid expanding light rail system, dubbed Metrolink. It utilizes high platforms throughout, with a downtown subway. The subway portion was actually an old railroad tunnel converted to transit use. It connects St. Louis airport to downtown. It also serves the state of Illinois across the river. The Shrewsbury, or Cross County Branch opened in 2006!
