The yards/shops are located adjacent to the Wilsonville station. The trains are Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU), built by Colorado Railcar. The builder went out of business before WES opened. There are 3 power cars an 1 trailer. All 3 power cars are required to meet the schedule. Trains pass at Tigard station, and just north of Wilsonville station. The trailer is attached to one of the 3 trains running in service. In November 2009, Trimet purchased 2 RDC' from Alaska as backup cars. They should be ready for operation in late Spring 2009. Engineers and conductors are provided by P&W Railroad under contract to Trimet. Conductors do NOT collect fares, but my spot check tickets.

back-up for the current fleet, as scheduled service required 100%
