Tram

Toyama is on the western side of Honshu along the Sea of Japan. It operates a small but intense service line linking the main train station with its commercial districts.

A new modern light rail line, Portram, opened 2006. This was a JR local line converted to light rail.

This car is at the end of the line in Toyama. There are two lines, actually it is one line with every other car short turning on part of the route. It has frequent service with double track 7/8 of its length. (4/98)	This is one of the newer cars in Toyama. I would guess that these cars will soon replace the classic cars within the next few years. (4/98)
