MUNI Metro

MUNI Metro is made up of 5 traditional streetcar lines that were re-routed into the Metro subway under Market Street in the 1980's. An extension to the Caltrain terminal was opened in 1999. An extension down Bayshore opened in 2007, a new Central City subway is under consideration.  The Breda cars have led to the retirement all the Boeing cars, most Boeing cars have been scrapped. One of these Boeing cars has been preserved by the Oregon Electric Railway Historical Society.
