Philadelphia Transit > Light Rail
Former Red Arrow Lines

Philadelphia

The service that is being featured here are the lines that radiate out from the 69th St. Terminal in Upper Darby. There are two distinct services, the Norristown Line and the Media/Sharon Hill Lines.

My favorite is the Norristown line which was the old Philadelphia and Western. This third rail line was the home to the famous "Bullet" cars which were retired a few years ago, replaced by the new N5 cars.

The Media and Sharon Hill lines are typical interurban style using overhead power. The cars in use now are similar to the city streetcars.
