Chambers St

Served By

Chambers St Station on the Nassau Street line is a large station that is very under utilized currently. It was designed to be a major terminal for trains from the Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridges, with through service to the Montague St tunnel. The original station had 4 tracks, 3 island platforms and 2 side platforms. One side platform is gone. Only 2 of the island platforms are in use, and trains usually only use 2 of the 4 tracks.

The Brooklyn Bridge Station for the IRT is just west of the BMT station. The outer pair or local tracks diverge south of here to go into the City Hall reversing loop
