This is what makes Japan
famous, the Bullet Trains. Shinkansen translates into "New Trunk Line"
(trunk meaning main).
Westerner's have coined the trains "Bullets" from the original
'0' series equipment styling. They are the best way to get around
Japan! These are great trains to ride. The webmaster has been on the
Tokaido, Sanyo, Joetsu and Nagano Shinkansen line. The only lines missing
are the Tohoku line and its branched.
