Purple Line

The Loop

The Purple line connects Evanston with Chicago. Outside of rush hours the line's southern terminal is Howard. Passengers can transfer there to the Red Line to continue to the City. During Rush Hours Purple Line trains continue all the way to the loop, with a high-speed express dash between Howard and Belmont (at one time it continued express all the way to Merchandise Mart)
